It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Franklin Eger of Hilo, Hawaii, born in Fort Worth, Texas, who passed away on August 16, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Beulah Lee (Hamilton) and Joseph Burl Pruit of Lubbock; his siblings, Leroy Eger and Jane Bell (Eger); and his former wives, Corneille McRee Smith and Jeanne Myles.
He is survived by: his wife K. T. Cannon-Eger; and his children, Denise Borges (Beck) of Austin, Lieutenant Colonel and William Burl Eger (Anita Ho) of Portland. He is also survived by three granddaughters, several nephews and nieces, grand nephews and grand nieces, and cousins.
