He is survived by: his wife Thailiana Denise Aipolani of Hilo; his children, Autumn Kahealani Soares (Lee "Chopa") of Hilo and Aaron "Kaleo" Aipolani of Hilo; and his siblings, Deedee Nielson of New Zealand, Elroy "Dukie" Aipolani (Lauretta) of Oregon and Patrick Aipolani (Darnell Kelii) of Wahiawa, Oahu. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
