He is survived by: his wife Sandra Takeya of Hilo; his son Norman Takeya (Denise) of Mililani; his siblings, Teruo Takeya of San Francisco, Herbert Takeya of Kauai, Gale Takeya of Hilo and Myrtle Hara of Hilo; and his daughters, Ceries Parmentier of Pennsylvania and Lori Parmentier of Arizona. He is also survived by one granddaughter; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
