He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Alicia "Tiny" Chang of Hilo, HI; his daughters, Tammy K. Yamamoto (Melvin "Abu") of Honolulu, HI, Tanya K. "Keawe" Chang (Jack Freitas) of Kula and Tracy K. Weidie (Scott) of Kailua; his mother Audrey Chang of Honolulu, HI; his brothers, Winfield Chang (David Carlson) of Kona, HI, Bruce Chang (Rachel) of Maui, HI and Sanford Chang (Margo) of Mountain View, HI; and his siblings-in-law, Betty Joyce Carvalho (Jules) of Colton, CA, Faith Balingit of Hilo, HI, Clea Riggs (Wally) of Rialto, CA, Wilma Merket of Chandler, AZ, Nick Balingit (Josie) of Hilo, HI, Lambert Balingit of Lolita, CA and Rowell Balingit (Pam) of Palatine, IL. He was also cherished by Nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
