In the vast expanse of eternity, Tamayo shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Tamayo farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She is survived by: her children, Darrell Yoshioka (Florence) of Hilo, Wayne Yoshioka (Vicki) of Honolulu, Corrine Taggart of Las Vegas, Avis Fukuoka (Roy) of Alaska, Kailua and Oahu; her sisters, Fay Yamasaki (George) of Hilo and Shirley Kawamoto (Ernest) of Hilo; and her sister-in-law Katherine Okunami of Hilo. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.
