She is survived by: her husband Tomoharu Nakamura of Hilo; her children, Kent Nakamura (Jenny) of Keaau and Kathy Serrao (Norbert) of Hilo; and her siblings, Harold Kawasaki (Leilani) of Honolulu, Roger Kawasaki (Rosie) of Kula and Miyako Pierson of Michigan. She is also survived by three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
