He was predeceased by: his wife Ellen C. Minaai Nakagawa. He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Nakagawa (Wilbert Low) of Hilo, Linda Laughlin (Mark) of Portland Oregon, Colin Nakagawa (Sharon Beauchan) of Hilo and Kris Nakagawa (Janna) of Honolulu; and his sisters-in-law, Harumi Nakagawa of Hilo and Ella Fujie of Wailuku. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
