He is survived by: his wife Akiko Oda of Hilo; his daughter Rosanne Oda-Ching (Randall Ching) of Aiea; his sisters, Akiko Sadamoto of Hilo and Hatsumi "Candi" Arita of Honolulu; his sisters-in-law, Mari Korematsu of Atherton and Carol Oda of Hilo; and his grandsons, Riley Ching of Aiea and Reese Ching of Aiea. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
