He is survived by: his wife Luwana Akim Seu Sumiki of Hilo; his children, Shawn Sumiki (Kim) of Hilo, Deborah Sewell (Kunio) of Hilo and Jodi Talaro (Edward R.) of Hilo; and his sisters, Rhoda Sumiki of Honolulu and Dale Kunimitsu (Dennis) of Honolulu. He is also survived by five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
