He is survived by: his wife Barbara "Bobbie" Kang of Hilo; and his children, Michele "Miki" Hao (Andrew) of Kona, Samuel Kang, Jr. (Leslie), Stanley Kang, Sr. (Sheri), Mary Ayala (Benny), Maverick Kang of Hilo, Tammy Awakuni (Lyle) of Kaneohe, Oahu, Robyn Yabe-Lin of Taiwan, Roxanne Hanson (Dave) of Washington and Debbie Yoshimura (Scot) of Kona. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
