It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Samuel Hans Taka of Hilo, Hawaii, who passed away on October 26, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Samuel Hans Taka to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his children, Sandra Medeiros and Sherwin Taka. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Taka of Hilo; his son Stuart Taka of Honolulu; his sister Victoria Chan (Vernon) of California; and his sisters-in-law, Eloise Farr of Hilo, Elaine Ugalde of Nevada and Geraldine Embernate of Hilo. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
