It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nobue Tashima Oba of Hilo, Hawaii, born in Paauhau, Hawaii, who passed away on February 23, 2023, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She is survived by: her children, Harold Oba (Elaine) of Hilo, Ronald Oba (Michi) of Altadena and Vivian Lee (Gordon) of Hilo; her sisters, Michiko Ota (Herbert) of Alabama, Lynn Yayo Tsuji of Kailua, Oahu and Ellen Callo of Washington State; and her brother-in-law Shoichi Fukaura of Paauilo. She is also survived by five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
