He is survived by: his wife Katherine "Kathy" Takehiro of Hilo; his daughters, Teri Takehiro (Mark Hansell) of Hilo, Connie Tomei (Collins) of Hilo, Deborah Ombac of Hilo and Pamela King (Charles) of Hilo; his brother Herald Takehiro of Pearl City, Oahu; and his sister-in-law Lenore Howe of Atlanta, Michigan. He is also survived by six grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
