He is survived by: his daughter Ashley Danielle Mukai-Plasman (Tyler) of San Diego, California; his mother Sue Mukai of Hilo; and his sisters, Barbara Mukai (Kirby Yagi) of Lynnwood and Anita Hyon (Won). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
