We are sad to announce that on July 18, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Mary Danfield (Hilo, Hawaii). Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Mary Danfield to show support.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Valentine "Buck" and Irene Danfield (Radke); her daughter Angela Miles Houston; her grandsons, Devon Miles and Andrew Miles; her great grandchild Devon Miles, Jr.; and her brothers-in-law, Gene Embrey and Ron Travis.

She is survived by: her husband Dr. A. Scott Miles; her daughter Rebecca Miles of Kapaho, HI; her granddaughters, Jessica Houston of Anchorage, AL and Lehia O'Connor; her siblings, Marjorie Travis of Omaha, NE, Valjean Embrey of Yutan, NE, Betty Werth of Herman, NE, Romona Lillich of Atwood, KS and Ron Danfield (Polly) of Mission Viejo, CA; her aunt Rosemary Kowalski of Loup City, NE; and also Wally Becklund. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorials will be directed for continuing care for her beloved dogs, and can be sent to P.O. Box 127, Herman, NE 68029.

We will miss her fun and intellectual conversations, her adventures on the Islands, and her love of animals of all kinds. Her true character shined so brightly during the last few months of her battle. Her dignity, humility, and sense of humor, not to mention the strength of a warrior, was with her always.
