It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lordes Lauro Galapir of Hilo, Hawaii, born in Pahala, Hawaii, who passed away on December 25, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her children, Harvey Galapir (Debbie) of Pahala, Wesley Galapir (Ella) of Keaau, Patrick Galapir (Charlene) of Hilo, Josephine Pelayo (Steven) of Keaau, Faith Derasin (Michael) of Waiohinu and Zina Hough (Payton) of Kauai; and her siblings, Alfred Lauro (Leslie) of Hilo and Encarnation Evangelista of Ainaloa, Hawaii. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
