It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kuulei Virginia Momi Hoe Kanoho of Hilo, Hawaii, who passed away on March 1, 2025, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Charles L. Kanoho, Sr.; her sons, Charles L. Kanoho, Jr. and Louis Adrian Kanoho; her daughter-in-law Akemi Kanoho; her grandson Kaweo Kanoho; her parents, Louis Sing Kong Hoe and Annie K. Akana; her siblings, Pearl Liu, Annie Lau, Lily Freitas, Portia Leilani Lopez, Geraldine Hopkins, Louis Hoe, Jr., Walter Hoe, Charles Hoe, Arthur Hoe, Gerald Hoe and Paul Hoe; her stepmother Lucy Kealoha Hoe; and her half-siblings, Daniel, Harold Hoe and Rebecca Uu.
She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Carolyn Kanoho of Aiea; her grandchildren, Nozomi Kanoho of Hilo, Kristoffer Kanoho (Julie) of Pleasanton, Grant Kapono Kanoho (Dawn) of Aiea and Nicole Ruston (Jason) of Laguna Niguel, California; and her half-siblings, Harriet Kaawa of Hakipu'u, Susan Lau (Steven, Sr) of Kahalu'u, Herbert Hoe (Julia) of Molokai and Calvin Ioane Hoe (Charlene) of Waiahole. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
