With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kenichi Hatayama of Hilo, Hawaii, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 3, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his children, Carl Hatayama (Tina) of Portland, Brian Hatayama (Marilyn DelaCruz), Kent Hatayama of Hilo, Mark Hatayama (Scarlett) of Keaau and Gayla Kurokawa (John) of Hilo; and his sisters, Patsy Umeno of Anaheim and Janice Manalili (James) of Kona. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
