He is survived by: his children, Rose Marie Abril of San Francisco, Beverly Beck (Curtis) of Hilo, Thomas Abril of Mililani, Mark Abril (Carole) of Hilo, Victor Abril of Honolulu, Joseph Abril Jr. of Daly City, Wesley Abril (Grace) of Simi Valley and Michael Abril (Nanette) of Tracy, California; and his siblings, Marcy Akao of Hilo, Marie Abril of Kona, Vicky Yanagawa of Kona, Dora Scarr of Las Vegas, Mary Bentley of Las Vegas, Monica Layman of Honolulu, Candida Abril of Kona, Pauline Butters of Kona, Alfonso Abril of Honolulu and John Abril of Kona. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
