He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Charlene Masuhara of Hilo; his daughter Janel Masuhara of Hilo; and his siblings, Karen Higuchi of Honolulu, Cora Sakai of Hilo and Myles Masuhara (Lynde) of Hilo. He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
