It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jay Dee Penn of Hilo, Hawaii, who passed away on December 30, 2021, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his wife Lorraine Shin; his children, Jay Penn, JayDee Penn, BJ Penn, Reagan Penn, Leonard Mamizuka and Christina Penn; and his sister Veronica Penn. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.

Born in Illinois, he was a Real Estate developer, involved with the Penn Hawaii Youth Foundation, and a US Navy veteran.
