He was predeceased by: his son Derrik Tomas. He is survived by: his wife Mary E. Fuerte-Tomas of Hilo, HI; his children, Jaime Tomas, Jr. of Hilo, HI, Michael Fuerte of Maui, HI, Cencia Chun of Honolulu, HI, Desiree Medeiros (Paul) of Hilo, HI, Kerry Darris of Ookala, HI and Kathy Wong (Leland) of Laupahoehoe, HI; his sisters, Helen Latorre of Honolulu and Rose Maikui of Honolulu; and his siblings-in-law, Bernadette Tomas of Hilo, HI, Marina Tomas of Hilo, HI, Linda Tomas of Honolulu, HI, Ric Bumanglag (Roger Farnsworth) of Kona and Reuben Bumanglag of Kohala. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
