He is survived by: his wife Joan Abe of Hilo; his children, Brandon Abe of Ewa Beach, Shelly Ogata (Chad) of Hilo and Dawna Abe of Kapolei; his brothers, Albert Abe of Los Angeles and William Abe (Jane) of Arizona; and his grandchildren, Avery and Elliot. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
Visitation will be held on January 29, 2022 (Sunday) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel in Hilo, Hawaii from 1:00 p. m. to 2:00 p. m.; memorial service will begin at 2:00 p. m. Casual attire and wearing of face masks is requested.
