He is survived by: his children, Chad K. Alameda (Rosalyn) of Hilo, Lono Nakashima (Moe) of Hilo, Gary Alameda of Hilo, Janella Alameda (Keone) of Hilo, Avonelle Alameda of Hilo, Tina Marie Alameda of Hilo and Guy Alameda (Deanne) of Hilo; his siblings, Edna Azevedo (Lionel) of Hilo, Alice Harbottle (Billy) of Hilo, Samuel Alameda, Sr. (Diane) of Hilo, Leonetta Garcia (Richard) of Seattle, Gordon Kanani Alameda of Waimanalo and Oahu; and his sister-in-law Lila Fernandez (Mehau) of Hilo. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A drive-thru visitation only will be held from 9 a. m. to 12 noon on Friday (Jan. 15, 2021) at Dodo Mortuary Upper Carport, Hilo; burial to follow at Homelani Memorial Park, Section 7 at 1:15 p. m. Masks and social distancing required.
