He is survived by: his wife LaVerne Q. Pauline of Hilo; his children, Lynn Oylear-Shields of Oregon, Lisa Spizzano (John) of Hilo, Ernest Pauline, Jr. (Michelle) of Tennessee and Elroy Pauline of Hilo; his siblings, John Pauline (Emily) of Hilo, Rose Rice (Junior Ah Hee) of Hilo and Frances Marcotte (Jim) of Kansas; and his sister-in-law Mollie Cohen of Tennessee. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM at the Watch Video Dodo Mortuary, Inc. (199 Wainaku St, Hilo, HI 96720). A burial will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 9:45 AM at the Homelani Memorial Park (388 Ponahawai St, Hilo, HI 96720). A prayer will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Watch Video Dodo Mortuary, Inc. (199 Wainaku St, Hilo, HI 96720). A committal service will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Homelani Memorial Park (388 Ponahawai St, Hilo, HI 96720).
