She was predeceased by: her husband William "Bill" Derasin; and her daughter Margaret "Pumpkin" Derasin. She is survived by: her children, Michael Derasin (Faith) of Waiohinu, Elizabeth Derasin (David Poe) of Ocean View, Sharlene Derasin (Clarence Alcoran) of Naalehu and Shawnette Esperanza (Joe) of Naalehu; her siblings, Alvin "Snookie" Medeiros (Susan) of Waiakea Uka, Geraldine Lyman (John) of Ainaloa and Janet Chaves (Brad) of Paradise Park; her siblings-in-law, Clarence Derasin (Anna Hampton) of California, Albert Derasin of Las Vegas, Sweedland Derasin of California and Janice Quigao of Oregon; and her mother-in-law Anna Quigao of Pahoa. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; in addition to numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
