He is survived by: his wife Kesaia Hayward of Kawaihae; his sons, Jerry Bess of Kamuela, Edward Hayward (LeAnn Alani-Hayward) of Kailua Kona and Ronald Hayward of Kawaihae; and his siblings, Bill Hayward (Rhonda) and Barbara Tucker of Michigan. He is also survived by three granddaughters; numerous nieces and nephews.
