He is survived by: his wife Bertha L. P. Kanae; his children, Earl II (Crystal), Frank (Jolena), Kody (Raynette), Sonya (Gregg), Nyla (Bernard), Tyra (Vernon) and Leysha (Joe); and his siblings, Samuel Hoopai, David Hoopai, Richard Kahalewai, Eunice Kanae, Darlene Cabagbag, Evelyn U'i Victorino and Abby Kahalewai. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and hanai children.
