It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Toshiko Sugimoto of Hilo, Hawaii, born in Hakalau, Hawaii, who passed away on January 22, 2023, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her children, Arnold Sugimoto (Sandy) of Los Angeles, Doreen Taga (Dennis) of Honolulu and Barry Sugimoto of Hilo; her siblings, Katsumi Tsuha (Dora) of Kaneohe and Nancy Asaeda of Los Angeles, California; and her sister-in-law Florence Tsuha (Yoshie Tarumoto) of Honolulu. She is also survived by six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
