With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald Soares Medeiros of Hilo, Hawaii, who passed away on June 19, 2022 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his close friend Maricar Battad; his daughters, Donette Iyo (Bobby), Laurie Lewis (Chucky) and Carol Ann Patao (Alton Penrose, Sr.); his niece Daniella Palas; and his siblings, Earl "Bradda Silva" De Silva, Carol Hughes-Okada (Milton), Jessie Sanborn (George), Rodney Acia (Margaret), Diana Aukai (George) and Shirley Kanehailua. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
