She is survived by: her husband Ben Akiyama of Hilo; her children, Darin Akiyama of Hilo and Denise Akiyama-Sakoda of Hilo; her brother Russell Arikawa (Carol Ginoza-Arikawa) of Hilo; her siblings-in-law, Aileen Yanagihara (Bruce) of Honolulu, Karen Akiyama-Paik (Leonard Paik) of Hilo and Alvin Akiyama (Jan) of Keaau; and her grandchildren, Ariel, Rikelle and Laryssa. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
