He is survived by: his children, Denise Kuuipo Kelekolio of Keaukaha, Kimi Brown (Keoki) of Waiakea Uka, Guy Matsuyama (Makala) of Kaumana and Ellen Silvestre of Hilo; his sisters, Karen Matsuyama, Milena Nakatsuka (Richard) of Oahu and Trudy Sakamoto of Hilo; and his sisters-in-law, Maydean Bowman of Kohala, Ilima Mahi of North Dakota and Josephine "Sweetheart" Mahi of Hilo. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
