He is survived by: his wife Thelma Yanagida of Hilo; and his children, Akira Mark Yanagida of Hilo, Scott Yanagida (Lynn) of Seattle, Washington and Alice Shigehara (Mark) of Hilo. He is also survived by three grandchildren; numerous cousins.
