He is survived by: his mother Madelaine Kawai of Kohala; his children, Damien G. K. Kawai of California and Jana-Lei Marcelino (Summer) of Georgia; his pet Coco; and his siblings, Bruce Kawai (Gwyn Pilapil), Richard Kawai (Margaret) of Kohala, Lurleen Masalosalo, Laura Kawai (Lindal Poliahu) and Michelle Kawai (Lisa) of Kohala. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
