He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Ayako Imai of Hawi; his children, Derrik Imai (Jewelle) of Hilo, Clinton Imai (Cheryl) of Kapaau and Jamie Takimoto of Captain Cook; and his sisters-in-law, Tsuyako Miyashiro of Los Angeles, Natsue Yoneda of Honolulu, Helene McKee of Bedford and Joyce Gronefeld (Hank) of Savannah, Georgia. He was also cherished by nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
