He is survived by: his children, Bernadine Demello (John III), Ranee Orta (Patrick), Germain Orta (Everett) and Rodney Orta (Melissa); his siblings, Raymond Orta Jr., Alfred Orta, Leroy Elizares and Veronica Reyes; and his grandchildren, Kimberly, Chalsea-Marie, Christina, Ashlee, Chad "Kaimana", Nahale, Kupono, Corey "Kahakea", Melia, Nae, Keahi, Melika, Helena and Isa-Lei. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
