He is survived by: his children, Todd Kapela (Jena) of Honolulu, Kimo Kapela (Casey) of Kealakekua and Keahi Kapela (Roger Naihe) of Capt; and his siblings, Alex Kapela (Betsy) of Waikoloa, Myron Yamashita (Cileen) of Oahu, John Carroll (Jackie) of Kealakekua, Mae Davenport of California, Yvonne Peterson (Donald) of California and Eloise Tungpalan (Cirio) of Pearl City.
