He is survived by: his children, Richard Akana of Capt, Cook, Warren Akana (Jessica) of Minnesota, Kawika Machado (Ruby) of Wahiawa, Kaponolani Machado (Haunani) of Kailua Kona, William Sabado of Hilo, Matthew Sabado of Hilo, Kehaulani Akana of Virginia and Caitlin Sabado Carvalho (Kevin) of Mililani. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
