She was predeceased by: her husband Fred Uechi. She is survived by: her children, Barbara Uechi (Steve McGee) of Kona, Melvin Uechi (Sharon) of Las Vegas, NV, Lester Uechi (Gill Eklof) of San Francisco, CA and Jason Uechi (Heidi) of Montclair, NJ.; her grandchildren, Brede Shiotsuka, Mallory Uechi-Grigg, Erik Eklof, Yetta Eklof and Kai Uechi; her siblings, Tadashi Matsuda, Shigeto Matsuda, Paul Matsuda, Jacob Matsuda, Carl Matsuda, Mildred Shindo and Matt Matsuda; and her close friend Happy II. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law.
