He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Keith Ahana and Tracy Ahana; his siblings, Victor, Edwin, Mervin Ahana and Ellen Bohrer; his grandchildren, Christopher Schell and Jennifer Apodaca; and his brother Kenneth Ahana.
