He is survived by: his wife Joanna Thurmon; his son Daniel; his daughter-in-law Kristen Thurmon of Loganville; his grandchildren, Jaxson Thurmon and Beckham Smith; and his sisters, Donna (Al Morris), Diane (Ray Purcell) and Dorinda Smith of Greenville, SC. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
