He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Phillips and Bertha Henderson Phillips; his wife Linda Phillips; and his brothers, Charles, Cecil and Hal Phillips.
He is survived by: his daughter Amy; his son-in-law Doug Breedlove of Blairsville; his son Troy Phillips Jr. (Jennifer Phillips) of Young Harris; his sister Charlotte Murphy of Blairsville; his sister-in-law Patricia Phillips of Young Harris; his grandchildren, Daniel Phillips, Heather, Nick Bruce, Coltin Hemphill, Lindsay Largeman, Savannah, Blake Gray, Joseph Phillips, Jacob and Israel Davis; and his great grandchildren, Jaxon, Lincoln Bruce, Wesley, Adalyn, Calvin Gray and Karter Hemphill.
