She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Bristol and Dorsey Nicholson McClure; her husband Willis Nichols; her sons, Bruce and Dennis Nichols; her son-in-law Roswell Goolsby; her siblings, Marie (Tommy Walden), Perry (Elda McClure), Cline (Pearl McClure), Clyde (Charlie Burch), Mildred McClure and Norman Jay (Virginia McClure); her parents-in-law, Dock and Ora Nichols; her brother J. B.; her sister-in-law Belle Nichols; her sister Velma Ree; and her brother-in-law Homer Kendall.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara Goolsby, Perry Nichols and Diann Russell Nichols; her grandchildren, Wade, Debbie Nichols, Matthew, Carrie Goolsby, Brian, Kelly Goolsby, Katie and Eddie Carroll; and her great grandchildren, Valerie Nichols, Powell Goolsby, Arthur Bowman, John Goolsby of Julianne Bowman, J. T, Goolsbsy, Claire Goolsby and Elijah Carroll.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Woods Grove Baptist Church (2227 GA-17, Young Harris, GA 30582). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Woods Grove Baptist Church.
