He was predeceased by: his father Billy Sam Slade; his daughter Jennifer Bergert; and his sister Kathy Matos. He is survived by: his mother Ruth Elizabeth Owen Slade of Miami, FL.; his wife Linda Murphy Slade of Young Harris; his son Adrian; his daughter-in-law Jennifer Hogsed of Young Harris; his siblings, Mike (Sharon Slade), Chris (Dayanara Slade) and Sharon; his brother-in-law Chris Hueston of Miami; and his grandchildren, Abeni, Ty, Clara and Maiya. He is also survived by eight nieces, five nephews, seven great nephews, and four great nieces.
In lieu of flowers, if you wish, the family requests that donations be made in Bill's memory to the Mason Transplant Clinic at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta.
