With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Barbara Ward Hale of Young Harris, Georgia, born in Atlanta, Georgia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by : her parents, Samuel Rufus Ward and Edna Tompkins Ward; her husband Dr. James Morgan Hale; and her daughter Valerie Hale Servis. She is survived by : her daughter Melanie Beighley of Young Harris; her son-in-law Chris Servis of Young Harris; and her grandchildren, Joshua Hale (Amanda), Brittany Ciesla (Brandon), Kristen Calderwood (John), Andrew Servis (Eryka) and Ian Servis. She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren and one on the way, and many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that any donations go to the Friends of the Library Towns County or the Hale Scholarship Fund at YHC, in Mrs. Hale's memory.
