He is survived by : his wife Carol Dean Black Joiner; his daughters, Lori Ann Joiner of Wrightsville and Michelle Joiner (Tommy Marshall) of Wrightsville; his grandsons, Tyler Andrew Wilkerson and Kenneth David Wilkerson; his great grandchildren, Summer Lei Wilkerson and Oakley Faye Wilkerson; his siblings, Eloise Hayes of Virginia, Owen Martin Joiner Jr. (Suzanne) of Harrison, Connie Sheppard (Everett) of Harrison, Carol Price (Roger) of Wrightsville, Jan Claxton (Carlton) of Dublin, Ben Joiner (Leigh) of Harrison and June Baily (Michael) of Dublin; and his pet Ruger.

Visitation was held on Saturday, June 29th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the May and Smith Funeral Home (1119 GA-242, Sandersville, GA 31082). A funeral service was held on Saturday, June 29th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel (1119 GA-242, Sandersville, GA 31082).
