It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mamie Lou Powell (Wrightsville, Georgia), born in Swainsboro, Georgia, who passed away on August 11, 2019, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Benton Powell and Louella Kite Powell; her husband Leonard Powell Sr.; and her children, Ambros Powell (Lynn) of Wrightsville, Leonard Powell Jr. (Sue) of Dublin and Gayle Woodard (Durell) of Rentz. She was also cherished by 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to New Home Baptist Church.
