James Hightower Obituary
Deacon James H. Hightower was born to the late Ossie O'Neal and Rosa Hightower Darrisaw on August 30, 1969, in Wrightsville, Georgia. He was the third oldest child of his mother's five children.
James Hightower was a member of the Class of 1987 at Johnson County High School. At an early age, he joined the Brantley Chapel Church of God in Christ. He was employed with Billy Jackson for over 25 years and he is also currently employed with Piedmont. He was a caring and loving father, brother and friend. He is currently a member of the Lovett Grove Community Baptist Church where he served on the Deacons Ministry. He loved his Church and did what he could while he could. He was an excellent sport fisherman and hunter.
Deacon Hightower passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Larry Darrisaw, his grandfather, Dave Hightower, his grandmother, Gladys Brinson, grandmother, Mattie Mae Hodges, his uncles, Steve Hightower, Paul Nathan Hodges and Vernon James Hodges, and by his aunts, Geraldine Moye, and Ann Lee Montford.
