He was predeceased by: his parents, Blanton O. Garrett and Christine Garrett. He is survived by: his wife Estelle Duggan Garrett of Kite; his sons, James E. "Jimmy" Garrett, Jr. (Erica) of Dudley and Jeremy L. Garrett (Kimberly) of Kite; his brother John Garrett (Ann) of Kite; and his grandchildren, James E. "Tripp" Garrett, III, Jiles Garrett, Jennings Garrett, Ellee Garrett and Maddee Garrett.
