With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Evelyn Sumner (Wrightsville, Georgia), born in McIntyre, Georgia, who passed away on April 7, 2020 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Douglas Hendrix and Clair Lavern Roberts Hendrix; and her husband Jimmy Joseph Sumner, Sr.. She is survived by: her son Joe Sumner, Jr. (Patti) of Milledgeville; her sisters, Ouida Butler (Ricky) of Macon and Alice Brown of McIntyre; her grandchild Ashley Lowe; and her great grandchildren, Emilee Dunn, Cole Dunn, Blake Dunn, Bella Dunn and Levi Lowe.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery and Grace Baptist Church.
